IPR, Ghana Features Kojo Yankah at Legends Night and Launches Strategic Mentorship Programme
The Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, hosted a Legends Night and officially launched the IPR, Ghana Mentorship Programme on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the British Council, Accra. Held under the theme “Timeless Impact: Honouring a Legend, igniting a Legacy of Mentorship,” the evening featured an interaction between Kojo Yankah, a Fellow of the Institute and members, moderated by Esi Hammond, a Council Member.
He encouraged professionals to embrace mentorship and personal discipline, stating, “It takes discipline, mentorship, and focus to progress in this profession.”
A major highlight of the night was the launch of the IPR, Ghana Mentorship Programme by IPR Ghana President, and CEO of Strategic Communications Africa (Stratcomm Africa), Esther A. N. Cobbah, supported by Mr. Yankah and Cynthia Ofori Dwumfour, a member of the Institute. Four other young professionals also participated in the launch.
Ms. Cobbah called on professionals to seize the opportunity to grow together, saying, “Hold the hands that have been stretched out to us today, as we continue to build a strong community of excellent professionals with an impactful voice nationally, continentally and globally”
Mr Kojo Yankah was accompanied by his wife, two daughters, as well as his three brothers. Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah, a Fellow of the Institute participated in the programme.
In attendance were also members of the IPR, Ghana Executive Committee, Vice President Donald Gwira, Honarary Secretary Solace A. M. Akomeah, Gabriel Nii Otu Ankrah Treasurer and Deputy Hon. Secretary Abraham Otabil. Also present were Council members, Peter Agbeko, Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, Nasir Ahmed and Esi Hammond.
Legends Night is more than a knowledge sharing and mentoring platform. It is a reaffirmation of IPR, Ghana’s commitment to legacy, and professional excellence as well as a celebration of Legends of the Institute. The Institute continues to champion the development of a new generation of communication professionals guided by purpose, excellence, and integrity.
