The Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, has officially launched its Student Chapter Handbook and presented certificates to student executives who successfully completed a Leadership and Public Speaking training programme organised by the Strategic Communication Africa Ltd and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The ceremony was held at the Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE) in Accra.

The initiative reflects the Institute’s commitment to strengthening student chapter operations and professional development. The programme convened student executives, young practitioners, and professionals to share insights on leadership, career growth, and the evolving role of public relations. Speaking at the event, the President of IPR Ghana, Ms. Esther A. N. The Vice President, Mr. Donald Gwira, APR, highlighted the role of student chapters in preparing students for the professional environment, noting that they provide a platform for practical learning, leadership development, and hands-on experience.

Delivering a special address, Mr. Arik Karani, President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), underscored the need for adaptability, continuous learning, and consistency in navigating the evolving communications landscape. He encouraged students to embrace innovation and position themselves as solution-driven professionals.
